                                    从教育和学术的角度承认统考文凭
                                   董教总促希盟政府认真落实大选承诺

                   董教总针对首相敦马哈迪在今日报章专访报道中表示承认独中统考文凭,必须考虑
               马来人的感受以及必须事先解决国家财富分配差距问题的谈话,发表文告如下:


               1.     董教总重申,承认华文独中统考文凭是一项教育课题,应让教育回归教育,并从学术
                   层面,为国培才及蓄才的格局,以务实、专业和理性方式处理承认统考文凭。

               2.     董教总再次地提醒,承认华文独中统考文凭是希望联盟的大选竞选承诺。希望联盟上
                   台执政,就应在施政上展现新思维处理承认统考文凭,认真落实承认统考文凭的大
                   选承诺。


               3.      董教总表明,既然教育部在处理承认华文独中统考文凭过程中,已经成立一个委员会
                   收集和研究统考资料和各界意见,整理成报告呈予教育部长带入内阁讨论,那么各
                   界可提交意见予有关委员会。因此,任何各方都不应操弄政治和种族情绪,干扰统
                   考文凭的承认。

                      Recognising the UEC from an Educational and Academic
                                               Perspective
                  Dong Jiao Zong Urges Pakatan Harapan Government to Honour
                                   Their General Election Manifesto

                   In response to the exclusive interview reported in today’s newspapers, viz., the
               Prime  Minister  Tun  Dr.  Mahathir  posited  that  he  had  to  consider  the  feelings  of  the
               Malays and resolve the huge gap in national wealth distribution first on the recognition
               of the United Examination Certificate (UEC), Dong Jiao Zong would like to make the
               following announcements:

               1.     United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) and The
                   United Chinese School Teachers’ Association Of Malaysia (Jiao Zong), jointly they
                   are called Dong Jiao Zong, would like to reaffirm that recognising the UEC is an
                   educational issue, and that education should not be mingled with politics. Moreover,
                   from a purely academic perspective, a pragmatic, professional and rational approach
                   to the UEC recognition can help Malaysia cultivate and retain more talents.
